Mysore is the closest city base to both Bandipur and Kabini — 80 km and 60 km respectively — which makes this the shortest wildlife circuit we operate. Groups often run it as a single overnight rather than a multi-day package.
As with all our safari bookings, the Urbania handles transfers only. Game drives inside Nagarhole and Bandipur are conducted exclusively in forest-department jeeps and canters booked through the department or your resort. Our vehicle waits at the safari reception for the duration and moves your group between the two reserves.
Force Urbania Rental for the Mysore to Bandipur & Kabini Route
Mysore is the closest city base to both reserves, which makes this the shortest wildlife Urbania rental we operate — often just a single overnight. As with every safari booking, the Force Urbania hire covers transfers only: game drives inside Nagarhole and Bandipur run exclusively in forest-department jeeps and canters, booked by you or your resort. The van waits at the safari reception for the duration and handles the move between reserves, which is otherwise the awkward part of the trip.
About Bandipur & Kabini
The Mysore side of the Nilgiri Biosphere puts two very different safari experiences within an hour of each other. Kabini sits on the southern edge of Nagarhole — the Rajiv Gandhi National Park — where the government and Jungle Lodges properties run both jeep drives and a boat safari across the backwaters, the latter unusual in Indian tiger country and the reason Kabini is famous for its melanistic "black panther". Bandipur, across the Moyar river, is drier scrub and open teak, better suited to classic canter drives at dawn. Between them lies some of the densest elephant density in Asia.
